Beneath you're beautiful

Hi Lovies,

Hope you are all having a great week thus far, i don't really know why but i have been extremely cheery this week and this has transferred to my outfit choices, bright and loud seems to be the order of the day.... you can't help but smile when you see me coming......i think a positive attitude goes a long way, irrespective of what you are going through, try and smile, the universe might just smile back in  more ways than you can imagine :)

People are drawn to positive attitudes, even something as small and inexpensive as a smile can open doors that all the degrees and experience you have couldn't #tryit

Sunday Chilling

Last Sunday, i decided to dust off my motif jumper from topshop, boldly inscribed with 'HELP' across the chest. Please don't ask me why i thought buying a jumper with help written on it was a good idea,  i just loved the colour combo #simples

I have noticed recently that a lot of people are wearing motif jumpers with bold and bright inscriptions this season, so here is how i wore mine

PS: for those wondering, i did put on 40 denier tights and a coat when i eventually left the house :)

Impromptu shopping finds

Trousers - Topshop outlet £5 each (mega bargain)

Recently, i tend to find the best bargains and outfits when i am not looking which is great. For a long time now, i keep hearing about the Topshop outlet store in Edgware but i have never really been motivated to go there because it is so far, the end of the northern line to be precise (major trek)

On Friday i found myself in the Edgware area and decided to kill two birds with one stone; so i popped into this infamous shop to see what the bargain hype is all about.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a vast array of clothes in all sizes at ridiculously low prices. For some reason i gravitated towards the trousers and picked out a few, i will definately be heading back there in there near future, it is definately worth. I was even told by the shop assistant that i missed out on a buy one get one promo they had recently, so if you are in the area, i would recommend it.

Here are some of my purchases

Little Black Dress

If you follow me on twitter you will have heard me heaping praises on AquaByAqua's new collection, it is AMAZING. I recently purchased the Magdaline Midi and took it for a spin at the 30th birthday party i attended on Saturday at Gilgamesh.

I got so many lovely comments about this dress, it fits and complimented my curves in all the right places, definitely a must have, especially for those ladies who want to look sexy & sophisticated without having to show too much skin. oooh & it turns out it is now on sale, so you too can get the look for less, although i paid full price for mine, boohoo

The Little Black Dress is a key fashion staple for every woman, if you must have one item in your wardrobe, it should be an LBD. The 'little' is open for interpretation, the hem can be as high or low as you want, as work with your comfort zone, for me personally, the ideal LBD sits just above the knee.

I realise that in some of the pictures the dress looks blue, but believe me, it is definitely BLACK. I finished off my look with a Coret silver & gold 1980's clutch, it is one of my favourites, i love the shape and feel but most of all, i love that it breaks the rule of not mixing gold & silver...who makes up these rules? surely they knew i would break it right?

Reader Appreciation Day With A PokeyHat Twist

I have decided to crown today as 'reader appreciation day' on TresChicGlobal, a day i am taking out to say a big thank you to all those who have read my blog, left comments and emailed me words of encouragement.

Starting/owning a blog seems like such an easy thing to do when looking in from outside, however what a lot of us don't realise is that all the major/top bloggers have had to work really hard to get to where they are, put in a lot of time and dedication to building their following and taking their blogs to the level that they are at now.

Whilst this is a hobby for me,something i enjoy doing as a bit of fun,  and my blog is still in infancy stage, i have come to appreciate both the time and dedication that is required by all, but also the awesome people that i have met in the process.

Therefore as a thank you to my readers, the lovely ladies at ThePokeyHat have kindly given me an exclusive discount which i can share with my readers.....so just head on over to the PokeyHat online store, shop till  you drop or till your wallet permits whichever comes first, and get 10% off by entering TRESCHIC10 at check out #simples

PS: This offer is open to all provided thepokeyhat ship to your country :)

Check out a few of my favourite items from their site below

Let's get FIT - The boxing edition

Another thing I've been trying to do recently is get fit and live a healthy  lifestyle. Those close to me know how averse i am to the gym or anything exercise related, as such,  my colleagues are always trying to encourage me to get involved in fun exercise activities that would be better suited to me than simply going to the gym.

This week, they managed to persuade me to attend a boxing gym and boy was it FUN. It is definitely not for the faint hearted, because they really work you hard, warm up is like 30 minutes of stretches, squats, push ups, mountain climbing, all sorts and lord knows how much i was aching after warm up alone.

After warming up, you practise boxing, jabs, 1 2s, hooks, foot work, upper body movements etc all of which are working out your muscles in almost every way.....then after this they put you through stomach exercises then warm down, in total, the class lasted for an hour & thirty minutes.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will be going back, but right now, i am in a LOT of pain ALL over!!!!

Rose & Spinning bottles

So i know it's been a little while since my last post, and to be honest i haven't really got a valid reason for being such a lazy pixie, so accept my apologies and let's move on *insert puppy eyes*

This weekend, i decided to take the plunge and get my hair cut, i didn't go to the extreme but i definitely went out of my comfort zone length wise. I am extremely blessed when it comes to having long and thick hair, however my problems began last year when i got bored and wanted to experiment with colour #bad move

To cut a long story short, my hair has been breaking and looking unhealthy and as much as i have been trying to will it back to health, my positive thoughts haven't resulted in much. So on Saturday, i decided to cut my losses and cut off all the unhealthy parts, get reconstructive treatment and begin my journey back to full healthy new hair.

The journey has begun and i will keep you updated on my progress, what do you guys think of the new cut? does it get a yay or nay?

After getting my hair done, i headed off to my friend Erenma's house for her cousin's birthday 'come chop'. A 'come chop' is a Nigerian term used when someone doesn't really want to have a party, they just invite a few friends round for food, drinks and to hang out, sometimes, it unintentionally turns into a party.

I had a blast, good food, Kelz on the decks, drinks (I think i went slightly overboard on the rose), great company and lots of red velvet cake, what more could i ask for? we even ended up playing truth or dare, which i haven't played in a long time.

All in all, i had a fab weekend and i hope you all did too.
