Every Girl Needs One - CleanHeels

I came across Cleanheels by chance whilst reading a popular daily publication. It was one of those, wow what a brilliant idea moments, something i could see myself in all year round.

The concept is simple, they provide two products, heel stoppers and heel sleeves. The heel stoppers stop you from sinking into soft grounds; so think garden party, festival (yup if you are a non-respecter of occasions like me you will wear heels to a damn festival because it works better with your outfit),  weddings. Then think of the sinking feeling you experienced plus the slight anger and frustration when you realised damn i might have damaged my heels and i have to clean it when i get home.

The second product is the heel sleeves which is a long term protection for the heel length which shrinks to fit the size of your heels.

Cleanheels is the brainchild of Ally Stephenson, a woman who got fed up of sinking into gardens and soft grounds but unlike the rest of us, decided to do something about it. I admire people like her who think outside the box to get results, and before you say/think it's not a complicated concept/idea to execute, I'll retort, then why didn't you think of it first!!!!

I personally love it and  think it is a brilliant idea, a must have for all the heel wearing ladies out there. I am just thinking back to a few weeks ago when i was at my friends wedding, and the amount of times i almost fell over getting stuck in the grass with my heels, this wouldn't have happened if i had Cleanheels.

ooh and the best part is that it doesn't break the bank, which is a bonus. If bought directly from their website, you can get it from as little as £4.99 for a plain one and £5.99 for the crystal flower one. Check them out HERE

What do you girlies think, will you be Cleanheeling it down the road anytime soon?

will shrink 50% during fitting.
2. Slide tube onto the heel and stand shoe
on table.
3. Use your hairdryer on full heat, moving
around the tube until sleeve fits snuggly.
4. When you no longer need the tube, cut
with scissors inside the heel to remove.

Tuesday Blues - Pick Me Up

One look outside this morning and i felt miserable, only last week we were basking in glorious sunshine and a heatwave, fast forward to this week and it's all doom and gloom weather wise.

I wasn't going to let the weather get me down for long, so decided to cheer myself up by wearing something a little fun to work.

I think it's important to find that one thing that brings a little cheer to you at times when you feel down....for me dressing up/clothes usually does the trick.

Do you guys have any quirky 'pick me ups', things that usually bring a smile to your face in an instant when you feel down? do share in the comments, I'd love to hear them :)

Olympic Weekend

Olympic fever has landed with a great big thud and i couldn't be happier. Although i am not directly involved or going to see any games (wouldn't mind a free ticket though), i am still as excited as everyone and very proud of Britain.

I think the opening ceremony execution and production was amazing, Danny Boyle absolutely nailed it on all levels, oh and the queen!!!! her James Bond moment had me jumping and screaming at the TV in disbelief, happiness and just aaaaaw

Anyway, my weekend was pretty relaxing, lounged for most of Saturday, had a quick look around Zara in the afternoon, then headed to Westfield Stratford to watch the new Batman movie (AMAZING) in the night.

I was pleasantly surprised to find both the Jubilee line and Westfield shopping centre a human sardine free zone. I was expecting oodles of people and a ridiculous wait to board trains and get into the station, but there was none of that which was great.

I spotted a few people from competing teams and snapped a few pictures, not the best pictures but hey :)

I picked up this lovely Mint dress on an impromptu lunch time outing on Friday. Something simple and fresh to wear on a lovely summer day.

The sun decided to come out to play on Saturday which was a good opportunity to take this dress for a spin.

PS: for those interested it also comes in a lovely yellow shade :)

Boconnoc House Cornwall

Boconnoc House has been rightfully described as the hidden gem of Cornwall. If not for the wedding i attended, i most probably wouldn't have heard of it and would have missed out on exploring such a beautiful place.

I love everything about it, the landscape, the obnoxiously expansive grounds, the animals, beautiful flowers, in summary, it ticked all the right boxes. At some point i even started envisioning myself as the lady of the manor :)

Rather than go on and on about just how beautiful Boconnoc House is, i will let the pictures do the talking.

Let me know what you think x
