From Paris With Love

Hi Guys, i recently went for a very short break to Paris with the BF & in the chaos of my Internet woes, i haven't had the chance to post up any of the pictures that i took.

I still haven't sorted through all my pics from the trip but in any case, here's a look at day 2 in Paris.

We stayed at a lovely boutique hotel in arc de triomphe, it was bang in the middle of everything and a stones throw from champs elysees. I would definitely recommend it, not only for the location & decor but it was very reasonably priced considering that we booked only two days before getting there.

Day 2 started off very lazy but eventually we made it out, we went for a nice stroll around the area, taking in the sights and sounds of the city and lovely smells of the traditional french cafes and bakeries. We had dinner at some meat house and then finished off with a stroll down Champs Elysees, of course we couldn't visit Paris without making a pit stop at the Louis Vuitton flagship store which is like fashion heaven on a couple of floors :)

The Outfit Diaries : London Fashion Week

Day 1 : I chose a somewhat understated & almost business like look for the start of fashion week, mainly becuase i had to attend a meeting later in the day which was unrelated to fashion and didn't want to alarm anyone.

I have always loved anything peplum, it is very feminine and does wonders for ladies with curves, so naturally when i found this skirt on the Warehouse sale rail for £5, i snapped it right up with more than a smile.

Peplum Skirt (Warehouse), Sequin Vest (French connection), Blazer (Warehouse)Shoes (Zara), Bag (Gucci)

Day 2: I decided to jazz things up a bit and what better way to do this than with this gorgeous Jacquard skirt from Asos Revive, worn with a high neck crop top also from Asos.

It was great to meet up with Henrietta of Henessys Beauty blog whom i went to college with and haven't seen since, lots of catching up on life, fashion and everything in between,  i also met promise and Wunmi for the first time too.

Jacquard Skirt (Asos Revive), Crop top (Asos), Necklace (Topshop), Blazer (Warehouse), Red leather bag (Vintage Beyond Retro), Shoes (Zara)

In the evening i headed off to my friend Chichi's Birthday party, for this i wore a gorgeous ultra feminine lace pencil skirt from Warehouse with a denim shirt to dress it down a bit. I think the denim shirt is an absolute God send to every wardrobe, i find that it works well with almost every fashion item, I've definitely got my money's worth from this shirt and would recommend it.

Yellow Lace Skirt (Warehouse), Denim Shirt (H&M), Necklace (Topshop)

Day 4: It was a bit breezy on this day but i still felt like wearing shorts, so i simply wore it with tights. To be honest, not much thought went into putting this outfit, it is a very simple and quick look that can be replicated any day.

Shorts (H&M), Vest (H&M), Shoes (KG) Bag (Burberry), Necklace (Debenhams), Blazer (Vintage)

The Bag & I

Like every girl out there i LOVE bags and i collect them. I say collect because despite having lots of bags, i tend to gravitate towards carrying only a select few on a regular basis. I am the type of person that could carry one bag for two months straight, which is usually driven by it being a new purchase. Also i tend to buy really big bags for everyday use and somehow my entire life seems to find its way in there, so changing bags on regular basis is more of a hassle.

The Zara Shopper Basket below is my bag of choice right now, i absolutely love love love this bag!!!! it looks great, doesn't break the bank but most importantly it has the SIZE FACTOR. When it comes to bags, my motto is BIG BIG BIG.

Sadly there are two flaws applicable to owning this bag, see mini essay below (my opinion)

  1. Every Tom, Dick, Harry & their sister's friend's sister has this bag. I have never really been someone who cares about other people having what i have, in actual fact, i take pleasure in being able to point people in the right direction when it comes to clothes, bags blah blah. However, i had a week off work and literally every corner i turned in London, there was at least five girls carrying this bag :(
  2. No Zip - Zara really meant it when they named this bag a basket, it is an open basket and i feel slightly exposed when i go to densely populated areas such as Oxford street or shopping centres. I feel like anyone can easily put their hands into my bag and snatch my wallet or something without me noticing grrrrrr
All that being said, i still LOVE this bag and will continue to rock it alongside my other Zaralites

Thought i would also include a few of my other trusty everyday bags
